From August 21st to 23rd, the 15th International Conference on Computational Systems Biology (ISB 2024) was held in Kaifeng, Henan Province. The conference aimed to provide a platform for scholars in cutting-edge interdisciplinary fields to facilitate exchanges and collaboration among experts in life sciences, medicine, mathematics and related areas. The topics covered computational systems biology, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence and life sciences.

More than three hundred delegates attended the conference, hailing from numerous universities, research institutions, and companies both domestically and internationally. These included prestigious institutions such as the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Peking University, and the University of Tokyo, as well as companies like DP Technology.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Chen Luonan from the Center of Excellence for Innovation in Molecular Cell Science at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, with Professor Xue Bo, Vice President of HENU, first introducing the organization of the conference. Subsequently, Professor Wu Jiarui from the Center of Excellence for Innovation in Molecular Cell Science at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Zhou Tianshou from Sun Yat-sen University, and Professor Han Zeguang from Shanghai Jiao Tong University each delivered a speech, expressing sincere congratulations on the convening of the conference and welcoming all the researchers in attendance.

This conference featured a total of 62 academic presentations, including 8 plenary lectures, 40 invited talks, and 14 graduate forum reports. The presenters included Professor Zhang Lei from Peking University, Researcher Zhao Fangqing from the Institute of Zoology at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Researcher Zhang Shihua from the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Sheng Bin from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Wang Xiaowo from Tsinghua University, Researcher Wen Han from DP Technology Co., Ltd., and Professor Cui Daxiang from HENU. Experts in attendance engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as computational systems biology, molecular systems biology, and systems biomedicine.

The conference presentations were outstanding and the academic discussions were lively. It not only facilitated exchanges and learning among domestic and international scholars in the fields of computational systems biology, molecular systems biology, and systems biomedicine but also provided a platform for experts and scholars in mathematics, life sciences, medicine, computer science, and other fields to collaborate and interact.
