From December 9 to 10, the 25th China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition Summary and Commendation Conference was held at Henan University (HENU). The Conference was attended by representatives from more than 40 universities in China, including Harbin Institute of Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology, Tianjin University, and HENU.
At the Conference, Professor Yuchen Miao, vice president of HENU, first extended a warm welcome to the participants and introduced the overview and future development of HENU. He expressed that the Conference would promote the cultivation and development of talents in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence. At the same time, he hoped that all colleagues could strengthen contact and communication to jointly advance the construction and development of robotics and artificial intelligence in China.
Professor Songhao Piao, chairman of the Organizing Committee of the China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition, said that the China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition has been held 25 times and has gradually become a model for industry-education integration and the science-education integration in China’s robotics and artificial intelligence. The Conference would strengthen exchanges among regions and teachers and help with the common progress of all colleges and universities in China.
The Conference announced a total of 8 outstanding competition areas, 78 outstanding organizational units, and 296 outstanding instructors. HENU was one of the outstanding competition areas and was rated as an outstanding organizational unit for three consecutive years, with 6 participants of HENU winning the title of national outstanding instructors. The Conference also conducted experience sharing, visits and seminars on competition-teaching.
