On the afternoon of November 6, Shenglei Fu, vice president of Henan University (HENU), led a delegation to Shanghai to have an exchange meeting with Mike Caine, vice chancellor of Aston University in the UK, and his delegation. The meeting was also attended by Yongqiang Bai, dean of Miami College, and other relevant personnel.
Shenglei Fu warmly welcomed the arrival of Vice-Chancellor Mike Caine and his delegation and introduced the development and current situation of HENU. He hoped that the meeting would enhance mutual understanding of both sides and promote in-depth cooperation between the two universities.
Mike Caine introduced Aston University on its profile, running philosophy, student training, dominant disciplines and international cooperation. He wished that further cooperation could be achieved to realize mutual benefits and win-win results.
At the meeting, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on talent training, scientific research cooperation, and teacher-student exchange programs. Both parties have high expectations for future cooperation and agreed to promote substantive cooperation as soon as possible and advance the development of disciplines so as to enhance the international influence of both universities.
