According to the latest ESI (Essential Science Indicators) released by Clarivate Analytics on September 8, the Social Sciences (General) of Henan University breaks the top 1% in the world. So far, Henan University has ten disciplines entered the top 1% in ESI: chemistry, materials science, clinical medicine, engineering, plant & animal science, pharmacology and toxicology, environmental science & ecotechnology, biology and biochemistry, agricultural sciences, and social science (general), respectively.

The University ranked 104^th in ESI in China, and 1170^th in the world, leapfrogging 33 positions compared with the previous statistics.
