In August 2022, the 28th ACM SIGKDD International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD 2022), one of the most prestigious data science conference, was held in Washington DC, the USA. Presented at this conference are outstanding papers from all over the world, including the long paper themed Data-Driven Oracle Bone Rejoining: A Dataset and Practical Self-Supervised Learning Scheme by Professor Chongsheng Zhang from Henan University. It is the first time that researchers from Henan province publish a paper at this conference. This is also the first CCF-A conference paper of the School of Computer and Information Engineering, Henan University.

This paper designs a data-driven solution for Oracle Bone fragments rejoining, which has successfully recovered dozens of Oracle Bones. Moreover, some of the results have been verified by the National Library of China using the real Oracle Bone fragments they preserve.  This work is a joint work with researchers from Henan University, Capital Normal University, South China University of Technology, Southwest University and University of Notre Dame, USA. Prof. Chongsheng Zhang is the first author, and the second author is a graduate student of our university.
