On July 23, the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Bankruptcy Law Research Society of Henan Law Society and the 6^th Central Plains Bankruptcy Law Forum were held in Zhengzhou. This Forum was hosted by Henan High People's Court, Henan University, Henan Academy of Social Sciences, and Zhengzhou Intermediate People's Court, and co-organized by the Bankruptcy Law Research Society of Henan Law Society, Henan University School of Law, Law Research Institute of Henan Academy of Social Sciences, Henan University Bankruptcy Law Research Center, Beijing Huatai (Zhengzhou) Law Firm, and Henan Asset Management Co., Ltd.

The opening ceremony was attended by Zhidong Shang, Vice President of Henan High People's Court, Junjian Sun, Vice President of Henan Law Society and Vice President of Henan University, Chengzhe Wang, Vice President of Henan Law Society and President of Henan Academy of Social Sciences, Dianfu Chen, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Acting President of Zhengzhou Intermediate People's Court, and Kai Cui, President of Henan Asset Management Co., Ltd. Each of the guests took turn to deliver speeches.

Yangguang Xu, Professor at the Renmin University of China Law School, and Yimin Ren, Managing Partner of Zhejiang Capital Equity Legal Group and Executive Vice President of the Bankruptcy Law Research Society of Zhejiang Law Society, successively gave a keynote speech about the Disposal of Defaulting Real Estate Projects Against the Backdrop of Enterprise Bankruptcy and Reorganization and the Practical Problems and Law Evolution of Real Estate Enterprise Bankruptcy.

Scholars from institutions of higher learning and other research institutes and lawyers from law firms discussed the common-benefit debt financing of real estate enterprises, the balance of interests in the disposal of defaulting real estate, and the government-court cooperation in dealing with bankruptcy of real estate enterprises.

With focus on the "Bankruptcy (Reorganization) of Enterprises Involving Defaulting Real Estate Projects", participants also shared their insights into relevant advanced theories and practical issues, promoting the high-level development of theory and practice of bankruptcy trials in Henan.
