HENU Foreign Faculty Spring 2022 Symposium was held in Jinming Campus on April 15^th. The symposium was attended by Vice President Shenglei Fu, members of Overseas Talents Office, representatives of foreign faculty, and heads of foreign affairs of all relevant schools. This meeting, held both online and on-site, was presided over by Liqun Mao, director of Overseas Talents Office.

Shenglei Fu first expressed sincere gratitude to all foreign faculty for their hard work, and then briefed the attendees on the main concerns the university address recently. He said that the university has made great progress in foreign experts recruitment in 2021. HENU would further cooperate with universities around the world in a wider range of fields to achieve deeper exchanges and cooperation in 2022. HENU was going to launch a series of Sino-foreign joint education programs, such as the "1530" Project, the "Studying at HENU" Project, the Cultivation Project of Discipline Innovation Base and the "Belt and Road" education initiative, in order to promote the development in in talent training, faculty team building, research laboratory establishment and discipline. By doing so, the university aimed to improved its capacity for internationalization.

Prof. Makram El-Shagi from the School of Economics, Prof. Choi Sun Il from the School of Pharmacy, Prof. Mohamed Ismail from Miami College, and Post-Doctoral Zada Muhammad from the Business School made their own suggestions about the development of the "Double First-Class" Initiative. Guangfang Fan and Rina Su from Overseas Talents Office respectively introduced the regulations on the management of employment of foreigners and the foreign faculty registration procedures, and answered all the questions from foreign faculty.

After listening to the suggestions from foreign faculty, Shenglei Fu urged the staff members of Overseas Talents Office to sort out all the suggestions from foreign faculty and improve service for foreign faculty members.
