Recently, the 22^nd batch of Chinese medical team members to Zambia, has returned to China safe and sound. This medical team, formed on December 18^th, 2019, consisted of 28 members, including 9 members from the Huaihe Hospital of Henan University (HENU), the First Affiliated Hospital of HENU, and the School of Foreign Languages of HENU.

During their service in Zambia, the team members overcame difficulties and made joint efforts in the face of three outbreaks of COVID-19. The team was widely praised by local people and overseas Chinese in Zambia. The medical team was granted the 2021 International Worker’s Day the Dedication Excellence Award jointly issued by the Zambia Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MLSS), the Zambia Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU) and the Zambia Federation of Employers (ZFE). In addition, all members of this team received Extraordinary Service Award issued by the Ministry of Health of Zambia and were praised by the Chinese Embassy in Zambia before their return to China.
