The 23rd National Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition ended at the Liangjiang Collaborative Zone in Chongqing on December 11,2021. It was announced recently that Henan University students achieved great results, and all the 11 teams won prizes. Among them, Zhang Heng's Team from Eurasia International School, Qiu Jinyu's team from Miami College and Zhu Guilin's team from School of Artificial Intelligence won the first prize; Liu Taibin's team from Eurasia International School, Chen Mingyu's team and Che Yuanhong's team from Miami College, Liu Changtong's team and Zheng Liuwei's team from School of Physics and Electronics and Li Yabai's team from School of Software won the second prize; Wang Yufei's team from Miami College and Lai Hongkun's team from School of Physics and Electronics won the third prize.
China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition is a long-standing national competition with influence for college students, aiming at promoting the participation of young students in the innovative practice of robotics and artificial intelligence, boosting their enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship and for exploration, creation and application, and improving their team spirit.
This year, more than 10,000 students from 400 universities including Tsinghua University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and University of Macau have signed up for the competition in three categories of innovation, competition and application, involving robots in various forms and application fields like humanoid robots, wheeled robots, multi-legged robots, intelligent agricultural robots, and collaborative robots. During the competition, the students' comprehensive abilities in innovative robot design, creative conception, task performance and scenario-based application are judged, so as to comprehensively exercise the players' comprehensive ability. It is also called as the "Robotics Olympics".
