April 22-23, Cotton Biology Summit Forum was held in HENU. This forum aims to promote the exchange and cooperation in the field of cotton biology research, improve the research level of cotton biology in HENU, and further expand the influence of HENU in the field of cotton biology. Wang Xuelu, vice president of HENU, along with leaders from the Institute of Science and Technology, heads of the research groups of the State Key Laboratory of Cotton Biology (HENU) and the State Key Laboratory of Crop Stress Adaptation and Improvement, teachers and graduate students , nearly 150 people attended the forum.

At the meeting, academician Chen Xiaoya of CAS Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences, and academician Zhu Yuxian of Wuhan University made wonderful academic reports. Other experts also discussed the major frontier basic and application issues in the fields of cotton biology, cotton stress biology and plant protection.
