From December 4th to 5th, 2021 China Tourism Academy Annual Meeting was held in Henan University and the theme was “Industrial Practice and Theoretical Construction of High-Quality Tourism Development”. This annual meeting is hosted by China Tourism Research Institute and jointly supported by School of Cultural Industry and Tourism Management of HENU and Cultural Tourism Research Base of China Tourism Academy. Dai bin, President of China Tourism Academy, Zhu Jianwei, Deputy Director of Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Lu Keping, Secretary of the Party committee of HENU, attended the meeting. More than 80 people attended the meeting, including presidents of branches of China Tourism Academy, chief experts of research bases, representatives of observer units and representatives of cultural tourism industry of Henan Province.

On December 5, the annual meeting was held in Zhongzhou Yihe Hotel, Jinming Campus. The meeting was presided over by Cheng suiying, chief expert of Cultural Tourism Research Base of China Tourism Academy and Dean of School of Cultural Industry and Tourism Management of HENU.

Lu Keping delivered a welcome speech and said, “Henan University will take this conference as an opportunity to further support the development of the China Tourism Academy and its bases, and contribute to the construction of a tourism academic community, promoting high-quality development of tourism and the integration of culture and tourism.”

Zhu Jianwei expressed his hope that the experts would provide advises and suggestions for the development of tourism in Henan.

At the meeting, the China Tourism Academy awarded the Excellence Award Scheme Fund to the cultural tourism research base.

At the symposium on December 4, Dai Bin was present at the approval ceremony for Hubei University Ecotourism Research Base.

The annual meeting set up three sessions: "Industry Practice of High-Quality Development of Tourism", "Theoretical Construction of High-Quality Development of Tourism" and "Integration and Innovation of Cultural and Tourism Industries". Professor Cheng Suiying, Dean of the School of Culture Industry and Tourism Management of Henan University, Professor Gong Jian, Executive Vice President of Wuhan Branch, and Feng Jinsong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yuntai Mountain Tourism Co. delivered theme speeches.
