On December 3, the opening ceremony of the 2nd Central Plains Journalism and Communication Postgraduate Academic Forum was held at the Experimental National Teaching Demonstration Centre for Journalism and Communication, and the forum took a combination of online and offline approaches.

Liu Zhijun, Vice President of HENU, delivered a speech. He hoped that the students would seize the opportunity to make full use of the innovative meeting method of combining online and offline to learn from the experts and work together to make the forum better.

Zhang Jing, president of News Enthusiast Magazine, said that they will continue to support the development of the forum and create a follow-up effect for the forum.

Miao Chen, Executive Vice President of the Graduate School of HENU, presented the certificates to the students together with Wang Wenke, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Journalism and Communication.

At the opening ceremony, Liu Zhijun unveiled the plaque for the Henan Provincial Higher Education Teaching Master Studio.

In the keynote speech session, Professor Yu Guoming from Beijing Normal University, Professor Chen Weixing from Communication University of China and Professor Hu Yizheng from Nanjing University gave brilliant speeches.

In the afternoon, the forum entered into sub-sessions that include speeches on ‘Rural Communication’, ‘Media Theory and Yellow River Cultural Communication’, ‘New Media and Social Governance’, ‘The Role of the Media" and "The Role of the Media’. The four sub-sessions on "Digital Publishing and Audiovisual Communication" were combined in an online and offline manner. The authors of the papers introduced and reported their views on the papers, and the reviewers commented on the papers.
