On June 8, HENU held the signing ceremony for strategic cooperation between HENU, the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Sinopec Nanjing Chemical Industries Co., Ltd. in the new park of Zhengzhou Industry and Research Institute. The ceremony honorably saw the attendance of Xiaodong Ye, Executive Director of Sinopec Nanjing Chemical Industries Co., Ltd., and Suojiang Zhang, President of HENU.

At the ceremony, Suojiang Zhang said that universities and research institutes should focus on the major needs of national and industrial development, work closely with enterprises and industries, and form the collaborative innovation mechanism of “university + research institutes + enterprises + capital” so as to advance the industrialization of scientific research results.

Xiaodong Ye pointed out that the cooperation between Sinopec Nanjing Chemical Industries Co., Ltd., the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Henan University would provide major support for green high-quality development.

Under the witness of the leaders from the three parties, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed between the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, HENU and Sinopec Nanjing Chemical Industries Co., Ltd.

After the signing ceremony, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on cooperation in electronic chemicals, carbon dioxide capture and utilization, carbon emission and evaluation standards, and reached preliminary opinions on the further scientific research cooperation.
