The Launching Ceremony for the Compilation of Official Porcelain Chronicles and the Inauguration Ceremony of the Official Porcelain Art Working Committee of Henan Arts and Crafts Industry Association was held in Minglun Campus of Henan University (HENU) on March 16^th.

This meeting invited experts and representatives from many walks of life, including Zhen Tan, vice president of HENU, Zhen Liu, vice mayor of Kaifeng City, Hongsheng Kong, president of the Henan Arts and Crafts Industry Association, leaders of the Henan Arts and Crafts Industry Association, members of Kaifeng Northern Song Dynasty Official Porcelain Industry Association, as well as experts from Kaifeng Local Chronicle Research Office and the official porcelain industry. Participants in the meeting also included Jiangtao Yang, secretary of the Party Committee of the Fine Arts College of HENU, Weiquan Xi, dean of the Fine Arts College of Henan University, trainees from the Training Program of Song Dynasty Official Kiln Porcelain-making Skills and teachers and students from the Fine Arts College of HENU.

At the meeting, Zhen Tan together with Zhen Liu unveiled a plague to mark the official opening of Kaifeng Northern Song Dynasty Official Porcelain Industry Association; Zhen Tan and Hongsheng Kong unveiled another plague to announce the official establishment of the Official Porcelain Art Working Committee of Henan Arts and Crafts Industry Association. Following the plague unveiling, Hongwei Wang, dean of the Chinese Ceramics Research Institute of HENU, invited by the Kaifeng Local Chronicle Research Office compiled the Official Porcelain Chronicles, after which, was appointed as the director of the Official Porcelain Art Working Committee of the Henan Arts and Crafts Industry Association.

Continuing the ceremony, Zhen Tan, Zhen Liu and Hongsheng Kong delivered speeches respectively, highly praising the progress in the compilation of Official Porcelain Chronicles and the establishment of the Official Porcelain Art Working Committee of the Henan Arts and Crafts Industry Association. They expected that more progress would be made by the academic team led by Prof. Hongwei Wang in promoting official porcelain's cultural value and its practical value in modern society for the development, transformation and upgrading of Kaifeng ceramic industries.
