On the afternoon of February 22nd, Henan University held a video conference with the University of Turku in Room 312, Faculty of Education, Jinming Campus. The meeting was attended by representatives from the University of Turku in Finland: Inkeri Ruokonen, Deputy Dean of the School of Education, Kristiina Heikkilä, Head of the Department, the Researcher Jaana Lepistö, and Ari Koski, Director of the International Affairs Office; and representatives from Henan University: Chengxin ZHAO, Dean of Eurasia International School, Chunwei YANG and Fangfang SU, Vice Deans of Eurasia International School, Zhencun WANG, Dean of the School of Education, and Yaping YUE, Vice Dean of the School of Education. It was presided over by Chengxin ZHAO.
At this meeting, both parties discussed the enrollment regulations of the Major of Preschool Education, and the methods for improving teaching activities and a more efficient allocation of educational staff. They also talked about the curriculum syllabus, learning hours and credits of some courses, the new way of teaching amid the global epidemic and its quality supervision regulations. Through the meeting, they discussed and agreed on many details of teaching affairs.
This conference laid a solid foundation for the enrollment of the Sino-foreign undergraduate program of the Major of Preschool Education, and for the smooth development of teaching activities in Henan University.
The undergraduate program of the Major of Preschool Education, jointly organized by Henan University and the University of Turku, was approved by the Ministry of Education in November 2021. It is the key discipline of University of Turku in Finland, ranking around 120th in the world.
