



From December 6th to 8th, 2024, the International Academic Conference on Nanomedicine and Nanobiotechnology was held in Kaifeng. Over 400 experts and scholars from the United States, Singapore, Ireland, as well as various domestic universities, scientific research institutes, and enterprises attended the conference. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Wang Ying, the Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Henan Medical College.
At the opening ceremony, Professor Cui Daxiang from Henan University (HENU) extended a warm welcome to the experts on behalf of the HENU and outlined the latest developments of HENU and its medical disciplines. He emphasized the HENU’s focus on interdisciplinary development and its achievements in medical education, discipline construction, talent cultivation, and scientific research, including the introduction of high-level talents and new research facilities. Professor Cui also highlighted the need for international cooperation in nanobiology progress, expressing hope that attendees would promote the clinical application of research findings and contribute to global health initiatives.
Professor Shen Youqing, the honorary chairman of the conference, congratulated the convening of the conference and reviewed the previous five sessions. He stated that the Chinese American Society of Nanomedicine and Nanobiotechnology (CASNN) aims to foster international exchange and cooperation in the field of nanomedicine and biotechnology, thereby advancing the sector. He stressed the society’s strategic orientation aimed at contributing to China’s nanotechnology development. Moreover, he expressed his hope that discussions at the conference would drive the development of related industries in China and globally.
The conference featured eight sub-forums, including Nanoprobes and Molecular Imaging, Nanopharmaceuticals and Drug Delivery Systems and Therapeutics, NBE Journal Symposium, Artificial Intelligence and Nanorobots, Young Scientists Forum, and Graduate and Doctoral Student Forum. Over a hundred experts and scholars in the field of nanobiomedicine were invited to share the latest advances in the scientific and technological frontiers of this field. The rich content played an important role in promoting the development of related industries and in enhancing exchanges and cooperation.
