From December 18 to 22, Junjian Sun, Vice President of HENU, led a delegation to Japan for a friendly exchange. They visited Kojokan High School, Beppu University, Kogakkan University, Nishogakusha University, and Taisho University.
On December 18, Junjian Sun and his delegation came to Kojokan High School in Ibara City, which established a friendly cooperative relationship with the Affiliated High School of HENU. They had friendly talks with Shigehiro Etou, the director of Kojokan High School, and Kimihiko Okada, the principal of Kojokan High School. Junjian Sun introduced the basic situation of the Affiliated High School of HENU and suggested that both sides should first carry out friendly exchanges among young people and then promote cooperation between Chinese and Japanese universities, improving the educational level of the international classes in the Affiliated High School of HENU.

On December 19, Junjian Sun led the delegation to Beppu University and was warmly received by Tomonaga Shoku, President of Beppu University, and other personnel. Tomonaga Shoku hoped to start a new era of friendly exchanges as soon as possible. Junjian Sun pointed out that the visit will promote cooperation between the two century-old universities in discipline development, major construction, and talent training. Representatives of both sides expressed that in the future, they should strengthen cooperation in cultural industries, archaeological excavations, and historical and cultural exchanges.

On December 20, Junjian Sun and his delegation visited Kogakkan University. Kawano Satoshi, President of Kogakkan University, hoped that more HENU’s students would come to Kogakkan University to study in the future. Junjian Sun introduced HENU in terms of the current situation, the discipline development, and the campus construction. He hoped that this visit could deepen cooperation between the two universities and further promote teacher exchange and student exchange, as well as scientific research cooperation. At Kogakkan University, Junjian Sun and his delegation also visited HENU’s students studying in Japan and encouraged them to study hard.

On December 21, Junjian Sun and his delegation visited Nishogakusha University and were warmly received by Professor Shigehiro Etou, the former president of Nishogakusha University and director of the Department of Literature. Both parties agreed that in the future, the two universities would have more exchanges and cooperation in student exchanges, teacher exchanges, scientific research cooperation, and serving local economic and social development, to contribute to the development of education in China and Japan.

On December 22, Junjian Sun and his delegation visited Taisho University. There, they conducted friendly talks with Taisho University President Chijun Kandatsu, Vice President Yamauchi Hiroshi and others. The two parties had discussions on the joint “3+1” program and made exchanges on future in-depth cooperation so as to promote in-depth and pragmatic cooperation in talent training, academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation, and teacher exchanges.
