From October 17 to 21, the 2023 Chinese Wrestling Championships for Chinese University Students was held in Wuyishan City, attracting nearly 500 athletes from 50 universities across China, including Beijing Foreign Studies University and Wuhan Sports University.

Under the leadership of Hao Hong, dean of Wushu College, and coach Tiehai Fang, the 6 students from HENU won 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, and 2 bronze medals, two of whom won the 5th prize and the 7th prize. Besides, they won the Sportsmanship Award as a team.
