From October 5 to 10, the 3rd China College Student Tai Chi Push Hands Championship was held in Tianjin. This competition attracted nearly 500 athletes from 50 universities across the country, including Beijing Sport University, Shanghai University of Sport, and People's Public Security University of China.

The students from HENU, under the leadership of Zhiguo Zhang, deputy dean of Wushu College, and Coach Yijie Fan, won a total of 23 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 4 bronze medals. They won first place in the total score of the women's C-A group, second place in the total score of the women's C-B group and the men's C-A group, and third place in the total score of the men's C-B group.
