From January 31 to February 1, Vice President Xuelu Wang led a group of 12 teachers and students to participate in the Zhongyuan Food Laboratory Scientists Conference & Luohe Innovation and Development Conference in Luohe City. The Conference invited Academician Guofang Pang, Academician Jianping Xie, Academician Fazheng Ren and 51 experts and scholars from 21 universities and institutes to attend. It was also attended by Shangjin Liu, vice governor of Henan and secretary of Luohe Municipal Party Committee, heads from the Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Commerce of Henan Province, as well as Luohe City leaders and representatives from more than 80 enterprises.

On January 31, a discussion was held between Xuelu Wang and Fazheng Ren, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of Zhongyuan Food Laboratory. Xuelu Wang introduced the situation of HENU’s research in relevant disciplines. He hoped that Academician Fazheng Ren would give a strong support to HENU in the discipline construction, scientific research and industrial transformation.

Academician Fazheng Ren first introduced in detail the operation mechanism of Zhongyuan Food Laboratory and then went on hoping that Henan University, as one of the six bases of Zhongyuan Food Laboratory, would keep moving forward in relevant research fields so as to contribute to the industrial development of Henan Province and even other regions.

At the Conference, Xuelu Wang signed the Agreement on HENU Base Construction with Academician Fazheng Ren. Professor Jihong Huang from the School of Agricultural Sciences of HENU was hired as a member and deputy director of the Academic Committee of Zhongyuan Food Laboratory, 2 professors from HENU were hired as chief scientists, and 4 teachers from HENU were hired as researching scientists.

Xuelu Wang also had a discussion with Tiancang Qin, general manager of New Tuoyang Bio-engineering Co., Ltd. They conducted in-depth exchanges on platform construction, scientific and technological cooperation, human resource development, and transformation of scientific research achievements.
