On the morning of November 5, with the theme of "The Theory and Practice of Community Psychology with Chinese Characteristics", the 7^th Academic Annual Meeting of the Professional Committee of Community Psychology of the Chinese Psychological Society was held online, sponsored by the Professional Committee of Community Psychology of the Chinese Psychological Society, organized by the School of Psychology and Faculty of Education of Henan University, and coordinated by China Community Psychology Service and Research Center, the Professional Committee of Community Psychology of the Henan Provincial Psychological Society, together with the Professional Committee of the Community Psychology of the Chongqing Psychological Society.

The conference invited guests such as Prof. Shaokang XU, vice president of Henan University, Xiting HUANG, former vice president of the Chinese Psychological Society and a professor from the Faculty of Psychology of Southwest University, Prof. Guoxiang ZHAO, the current president of the Chinese Psychological Society, Prof. Yanjie SU, president-designate of the Chinese Psychological Society and associate dean of Yuanpei College of Peking University, Prof. Hong CHEN, former vice chairman of the Chinese Psychological Society and head of the Faculty of Psychology of Southwest University, and Prof. Frank C. Worrell, the current chairman of the American Psychological Association (APA), to attend the opening ceremony and deliver speeches.

At the conference, ten invited reports and seven special reports were given respectively, focusing on how to establish the disciplinary system, the academic system and the discourse system of Chinese community psychology in line with its theoretical innovation and practical progress while meeting the requirements for building the community psychology with Chinese characteristics in the new era. In that way, the modernization of governance system and governance capacity at grassroots level would be furthered, the sense of acquisition and happiness of community residents would be enhanced, and the social stability and order would be safeguarded.
