On December 13, 2022, the Forum for "Double Carbon" Strategy (Zhengzhou, China) and Young Scholars in Energy Revolution was held at Zhengzhou Campus of Henan University.

At the Forum, Suojiang ZHANG, president of Henan University, delivered a speech. He pointed out that the Forum held under the theme of "Green Process for Carbon Neutrality" showed that colleges and universities were determined to serve the national strategy and promote the high-quality development of the green and low-carbon economy. He promised that in the next five years, Henan University would keep improving and upgrading through hard work, reforms and culture construction, to make constant progress in the "Double First-Class" construction. He wished that experts could gave suggestions on the development of Henan University to help create a brilliant future.

Later, Suojiang ZHANG offered the letter of appointment "Youth Member of the Steering Committee of the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Discipline Construction in Henan University" to Dongfeng XUE, the representative of HENU alumni, and Fuwei LI. Of them, Dongfeng XUE serves as the professor of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and has won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars; Fuwei LI works as a researcher at the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and has won the Excellent Young Scientists Fund.

Yan BAI, dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, introduced the development of the College in recent years and shared views on its future development. She expressed her heartfelt thanks to all alumni for their long-term support to the College, and invited them to visit Henan University often.

The Forum invited 15 outstanding young alumni of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering to attend. 5 of them including Jun'an MA, Mingzhu LI, and Dongfeng XUE made keynote reports entitled "Organofluorine Chemistry", "Biomimetic Structural Color Functional Materials", and "Multiple Perspectives of Large Sized Materials". The other 10, including Heqing JIANG, Fuwei LI, and Jian SUN, delivered speeches entitled "Low-carbon and Efficient Hydrogen Production from Fossil Energy", "Catalytic Conversion of Low-carbon and Biomass Resources", and "Utilization of Renewable Carbon Resources", in which they shared the latest research results in the field of green processes for carbon neutrality.
