On December 10, 2022, the 11^th Standing Council of ISCLT held the 6^th meeting, at which four branches including the Wisdom Education Branch of ISCLT were announced to be established. Professor Zhen TAN, vice president of Henan University, was elected as the vice chairman of the Wisdom Education Branch of ISCLT.

On December 12, the Inaugural Conference of the Wisdom Education Branch of ISCLT & the 1^st International Seminar on Wisdom Education for Chinese Education was held on the live broadcast platform of Chinese Plus, organized jointly by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, the ISCLT, and Chinese Plus. Yongbo SONG, deputy secretary of the party committee of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation and secretary-general of ISCLT, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. More than 400 experts and scholars from home and abroad, as well as teacher and student representatives in the field of international Chinese education participated in the meeting online. The 1^st International Seminar on Wisdom Education for Chinese Education focused on 6 topics that were deeply discussed by 38 experts from China, the United States, France, etc.

Zhen TAN attended the Inaugural Conference of the Wisdom Education Branch and gave a report entitled "Views on Building a Multidimensional Evaluation System for International Chinese Wisdom Education". In her report, she analyzed the development of wisdom education and new academic topics, and proposed that a multi-dimensional evaluation system for international Chinese wisdom education was needed.

Founded in 1987, the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching has nearly 5,500 members from more than 80 countries and regions. Henan University joined along with other 11 universities, including Beijing Normal University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, and Shanghai International Studies University.
