On August 28, the CPC Henan Provincial Committee held a press conference on the theme of "The Past Decade of Henan, China" in Zhengzhou. Yangsheng Lou, secretary of the Committee, introduced top ten scientific and technological achievements in Henan in recent years, which included the wear-self-repairing lubricating nanomaterial developed by the team of Professor Zhijun Zhang from Henan University.

Guided by Professor Zhijun Zhang, this team applied nanomaterial in mechanicals lubrication as lubricating grease additives. That provided a new field of lubrication research and offered solutions to technical problems of in-situ self-repair of wear parts and continuous lubrication from low load to high load. This achievement was awarded the first prize of Henan Province Technology Progress Award in 2018 and the second prize of National Technology Invention Award in 2019.
