Recently, Exploration, the open access journal sponsored by Henan University and published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc., was officially included in DOAJ, the world's most influential journal retrieval system.
DOAJ was created and operated jointly by Lund University Libraries and SPARC (The Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition) in 2003. Though it is as influential as PubMed, SCI, Scopus and EI, it provides journals of high quality for free, which is valuable for academic research. It works to improve access to academic journals, and includes OA journals that are strictly selected.
Exploration was included in DOAJ within four months since it published the first article, indicating that it has reached international standards in the quality and open access policies of journals. This means a huge leap for Exploration toward an international journal, and a milestone in Henan University's construction of an influential international journal. This is of great significance for promoting academic influence of journals and the international influence of Henan University.
It is edited by Professor Xingjie LIANG from the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, with Professor Yang BING from Henan University assuming as the executive editor. Since its beginning to publish articles in August, it has published 2 issues of journals, including a total of 17 research papers and review articles by well-known scientists inland and abroad. There are 74 editorial board members from 9 countries and regions, including 12 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 21 winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and 28 researchers on the list of "Highly Cited Researchers" in 2021. All papers in Exploration can be viewed and downloaded for free, and even be published for free in 2021-2023. Scan the QR code below to get the first and second issues.
