In the afternoon of November 26, the opening ceremony of the Center for Russian Studies of Henan University and its first academic salon were held online. More than 40 people attended the conference, including Mukhanov Yevgeny Leonidovich, Vice President of Southern Federal University, Lomagina Gulinara Rashidovna, Dean of the School of Journalism and Intercultural Communication, Junjian SUN, Vice President of Henan University, the leadership of the School of Foreign Languages and other members.

Junjian SUN pointed out that the Center served as a key university-level research institution of Henan University and also as a bridge for exchanges between both sides. As Henan University has become an important base for training Russian talents in Henan and even China, he expected a deeper cooperation to boost cultural exchanges between China and Russia.

Leonidovich expressed that the exchange platform would be further updated for more scientific and cultural exchanges. He also hoped that there would be more opportunities for cooperation in the future.

At the Salon, Associate Professor Belopolisskaya Yelena Vadimovna and Professor Panteleev Andrei Feliksovich, Hong ZHANG, Professor of the School of Foreign Languages, and Dr. Xuemao CHEN delivered their reports. Both sides also conducted communications in both languages.
