Recently, the famous European organization "Expertscape" announced the latest top 1% of global experts based on the data of publication and citations in all research areas from 2011 to 2021, in which the Psychology experts of the Faculty of Education of Henan University were included. There were 7631 experts in "Orphaned Child". Professor Junfeng ZHAO, the head of the psychology department, ranked 12^th, equal to 0.25% in the world; and Professor Guoxiang ZHAO, the academic leader of the psychology department, ranked 17^th, equal to 0.33% globally; Professor Xiaoming LI of Henan Province and University of South Carolina ranked 8^th, equal to 0.17% globally. There were 7456 experts in "Child of Impaired Parents". Professor Junfeng ZHAO ranked 36^th, ranking 0.5% globally; Professor Guoxiang ZHAO ranked 44^th, ranking 0.62% globally; Xiaoming LI ranked 6^th, ranking 0.08% globally.

The international scientific research team, led by Prof. Junfeng ZHAO, Prof. Guoxiang ZHAO and Prof. Xiaoming LI, has been paying joint efforts on the research of the health and development of disadvantaged children, and has received 4 National Social Science Fund and National Natural Science Fund, and nearly 9 million yuan of scientific research fund for 12 NIH joint projects in the United States and 4 other joint projects. There has been more than 80 academic papers published by authoritative SCI/SSCI including Psychological Science and Educational Psychology.
