The neutralizing antibody testing against the novel coronavirus, developed by Professor MA Yuanfang’s research group of the Joint National Laboratory for Antibody Drug Engineering, was transferred to Luoyang Hengen Biotechnology Company.

On June 22, the signing ceremony for transferring the research output of antiboday testing was held in HENU. Leaders, members of the research group, and teachers and students attended the signing ceremony.

SUN Junjian, Vice President of HENU, points out that the Laboratory adheres to basic and applied research central to drug development and reagent (box). After the outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia, the Laboratory has made outstanding contributions based on mature technology platforms and excellent teams, and won the “National Advanced Group for Combating COVID-19 Epidemics”. In addition, he hoped that the two sides could strengthen exchanges and carry out cooperation at a higher level.

LIU Yulin, the Secretary of Party Working Committee of Luoxin Industrial District, said that HENU is a world-class university with a century-long history and the Laboratory excels in scientific research. Additionally, better services supplied by the government and a business-friendly environment are accessible to the enterprises in Luoxin Industrial District.

Xia Jinguang, President of Hengen Biotech, introduced the history and advantages of Hengen in the field of medical devices. In the future, he continued, closer cooperation will be carried out in commercializing more research outputs.

On behalf of HENU, LI Qian, Deputy Director of the Sci-Tech Department, signed the transfer agreement with XIA Jinguang.
