On June 3rd, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the CPC and to uphold her spirit, School of Foreign Languages held the 11th Foreign Language Choral Festival with the theme of "Ode to Youth", showing the vitality of the youth and manifested the love for today’s new era. Party Secretary AN Jialiang, DeanYANG Chaojun, along with other leaders, teachers and students of the school, attended the choral festival.

The choral festival contained two sessions: choruses of foreign songs and talent shows, both consisted of brilliant performances. "Something Just Like This" sung by 2020 English Class Ⅱ showed the charm of English songs. The rhythm of "Unique" was bright and cheerful. Students of 2020 Translation Class immersed the audiance in the melody of "My Love". The song "Grow Up With You" warmed everyone at the scene. The poem "One Thousand Years" and "Goodbye to Cambridge Again" read by 2020 English Class Ⅳ opened everyone’s eyes to the beauty of English. The song "Be With You" brought by 2020 Japanese Class gave spectators spiritual comfort with their graceful singing. Students of 2019 French Class expressed their pursuit of the meaning of life and their resistance to fate with fascinating performances. Students of 2020 German Class showed the courage of unity and fearlessness of the future with “L'Internationale”. "Proud of You" and "Sunny Day" played and sung by 2020 English Class Ⅲ expressed the charm of youth. "The Song of Restless Youth" sang by 2020 Russian Class with passion, expressed their praise of youth and the pursuit of dreams. The song "Viva la Vida" and the solo "Think of Me" brought by 2020 English Class Ⅰ was attractive. "One Day" and "Auld Lang Syne" brought by the foreign language choir presented the spirit of friendship.

At the end, MA Xiaojing, Deputy Party Secretary of the school, gave a speech. “How can I not love this festival?" she sighed, expressing her love for the nation, for the Party, for the school and for everyone.

The Foreign Language Chorus Festival not only eulogizes the new era, but also celebrates the centenary birth of the Party. It shows the positive mental outlook of the students, enriches the students' spiritual life, as well as enhances their interest in foreign language learning. In joy and happiness, the festival came to a successful conclusion.
