On May 6th, HENU and Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIMM, CAS) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in SIMM, CAS. Jia Li, director of SIMM, CAS, Yang Ye, Zhaobing Gao, Qiang Zhao, vice director of SIMM, CAS, Keping Lu, the Party Secretary of CPC of HENU, Junjian Sun, vice president of HENU, along with other representatives attended the signing ceremony.

At the signing ceremony, the two sides discussed how to put the strategic cooperation agreement into practice and reached consensus on specific cooperation matters.

later, Jia Li and Junjian Sun signed the strategic cooperation agreement as representatives of both sides. According to the agreement, the two sides will conduct scientific research and innovative drug research and development in the areas of metabolic diseases, tumors, nervous system diseases, natural medicines and the utilization and product research and development of characteristic medicinal resources in Henan Province, promote industry-university-research cooperation and serve the local economy.

After the signing ceremony, Academician Hualiang Jiang, former director of SIMM, CAS cordially met with Keping Lu and his delegation.
