On April 24, 2021 Academia Semiar of Plant Genetics and Genomics Committee of GSC, sponsored by Genetics Society of China (CGS) and co sponsored by School of Life Sciences of HENU and State Key Laboratory of Crop Stress Adaptation and Improvement, was held in HENU. This seminar aims to promote the exchange and cooperation in the field of plant genetics and genomics, promote the further development of plant genetics and genomics research, improve the construction level of related disciplines of our university, and better serve the national and regional economic and social development. Xu Shaokang, vice president of HENU, Yang Weicai, director of Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of Chinese Academy of Sciences,  Zhang Xiansheng, President of Shandong Agricultural University, Tian Zhixi, researcher of Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yang Shuhua, professor of China Agricultural University, Lin Honghui, professor of Sichuan University, along with related principals of Research Institute of Science and Technology of HENU, relevant research groups of the School of Life Sciences, the State Key Laboratory of Cotton Biology and the State Key Laboratory of Crop Stress Adaptation and Improvement, nearly 400 teachers and students attended the meeting.

The experts at the meeting made wonderful academic reports on many topics, such as "exploration and utilization of excellent wild soybean resources in cold regions", "molecular basis of histone molecular chaperone regulating cell fate", "genetic analysis of high yield Rapeseed".
