As of October 14th, the list of projects approved by the National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences, the National Office for Education Sciences Planning and the National Office for Art Sciences in 2020 was officially announced. Henan University has 47 projects on the list, ranking first in Henan Province and 18th nationally. Among 47 projects, there are 2 major projects, 24 general projects, 6 youth projects, 7 post-financing projects, 5 projects of education sciences, 1 special project for national emergency management system construction, 1 project of arts sciences, and 1 special project for ideological and political theory courses teaching in colleges and universities.

National Social Science Fund is the main source of funding to support the country’s research in philosophy and social science. The number of selected projects serves as an important indicator of a university’s research strength.
