On April 3rd, Sun Junjian, Vice President of Henan University, along with the heads of the President’s Office, International Affairs Office, Affiliated Hospital of Henan University and International School for Chinese Language and Culture, meet in front of the grand auditorium to have a thorough check over the anti-pandemic medical supplies and ensure they are all loaded onto specified vehicles.

Sun expressed his gratitude towards Gary Miller, the President of University of Akron (a sister university and a partner of building a Confucius Institute ), for his letter to Song Chunpeng in early February when the battle against the pandemic was going on, showing his sincere concern for and encouragement to all the staff and students of Henan University. Sun indicated that, with joint efforts of both Chinese government leadership and all of the Chinese people, the pandemic had been well contained by China, however, some other countries were still struggling in fighting against it. After learning that University of Akron was in need of anti-pandemic medical supplies, Henan university took immediate action to find such medical supplies as N95 masks, disposable surgical masks, disposable medical mask and disposable medical gloves, in the hope of doing best to help University of Akron with the combat against the coronavirus.
