HENU Overseas Students Get Great Results in the World Taijiquan Competition

The Seventh World Taijiquan Health Congress was held in Foshan City, Guangdong Province from November 10th to 12th, 2018. More than 1000 professional athletes from dozens of countries and regions all over the world participated.

HENU sent 15 foreign students from 15 countries, including Russia, Belarus, Pakistan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Hungary, Morocco, Sudan, Czech Republic, Venezuela, Laos and Thailand, to participate in the competition. Our international Wushu team won 3 first places, 2 second places, 4 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 6 third prizes in individual events and third prize in collective Taijiquan competition. Among them, Hieb ALEKSIN from Belarus won the first place in Yang Style Taijiquan for men’s group, Boukdad ABDERRAHIM from Morocco won the first place in 42 Type Competition Taiji Sword for men’s group, and MELCHIORRI Mujica Fiorla Gina from Venezuela won the first place in Yang Style Taijiquan for women’s group. Once again, all the foreign students won the prizes, refreshing the best results of HENU international Wushu team.

In recent years, HENU International Wushu Team has participated in more than 10 international Wushu competitions. Their strict discipline and outstanding achievements has contributed to disseminating Chinese traditional culture to the outside world and showing the strength and elegance of HENU.
