On the morning of May 27, a six-member delegation led by Somrote Komolavaij, Vice President of Panyapiwat Institute of Management, Thailand, visited Henan University (HENU). Zhang Ligang, Vice President of HENU, met with the guests at the Jinming Campus in Kaifeng, accompanied by heads of relevant departments including the International Affairs Office and the Overseas Talent Recruitment Office. The meeting was chaired by Chen Nan, Deputy Director of the Overseas Talent Recruitment Office.

Zhang Ligang extended a warm welcome to Somrote Komolavaij and his delegation on their return visit. He noted that during Vice President Somrote Komolavaij’s first visit to HENU, the two sides reached extensive consensus on areas such as faculty and student exchange programs and degree program cooperation. He expressed anticipation for the next stage of collaboration between the two universities, hoping to make greater contributions to educational exchanges and friendship between China and Thailand.

Somrote Komolavaij expressed gratitude to HENU and introduced the profile of Panyapiwat Institute of Management, Thailand. He stated that Panyapiwat Institute of Management is committed to promoting global educational cooperation, which is highly aligned with HENU’s international development strategy. He proposed joint exploration of new models for international education cooperation.

Subsequently, in the presence of representatives from both sides, Zhang Ligang and Somrote Komolavaij, on behalf of their respective universities, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

Founded in 2007 and located in Bangkok, Thailand, Panyapiwat Institute of Management is a private comprehensive university established by Thailand’s Charoen Pokphand Group. It boasts a well-developed Chinese-language teaching and management system.
