Liu Wenlong wins final gold medal in Wushu competition of the 31st FISU World University Games

On August 3, the Wushu Sanda competition of the 31st FISU World University Games (Summer) came to an end in Chengbei Gymnasium of Chengdu. Wenlong Liu from Henan University won the Men's 80kg Wushu Sanda Championship by defeating the Iranian team.

Wenlong Liu competed with the Iranian player Ali in the final of the martial arts competition and taekwondo competition. Liu said, "Ali is very strong. He beat the Sanda team of China in 2019 and won the world championship." Liu responded to Ali's strong attack calmly and finally defeated him with a score of 2:0, winning a gold medal in the men's Sanda competition.

Liu started to practice martial arts at Henan Shaolin Tagou Martial Arts School at the age of 13. In 2016, he entered Henan University to study martial arts and national traditional sports. Due to his excellent grades, he was admitted to the master's program without examination in 2020.
