On June 11, the 2023 Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition - Integrated Circuit Design and Application (Henan) was held in Henan University (HENU). Shaokang Xu, vice president of HENU, attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by teacher leaders and contestants from HENU, Henan Normal University, and Xinxiang University.

This competition was signed up by hundreds of teams from integrated circuit-related majors of universities in Henan, among which 30 teams were selected out to join in the finals. In the end, there were 12 winners, with 2 teams winning the first prize, 3 teams winning the second prize, and 7 teams winning the third prize. The Excellent Organization Award University went to Henan Normal University and Xinxiang College and the Outstanding Contribution Award to Henan University.
