Congratulations! HENU students won the final of the 14th National Mathematics Competition for College Students

On May 27, the final of the 14th National Mathematics Competition for College Students was held at Guangdong University of Technology.


Students from Henan University (HENU) joined in the Competition under the leadership of Yanbin Yin and Yanjun Chu, teachers from the School of Mathematics and Statistics. Guided by the two teachers, Xinyu Du, a student from the School of Mathematics and Statistics, won the first prize of the professional group (senior group) . Aoyue Zhang, the third prize in the specialized group (senior group). He Zou, the third prize in the specialized group (junior group). Baichuan Chen, a student from the School of Artificial Intelligence, and Youpeng Tang, a student from the School of Computer and Information Engineering, the third prize of the non-specialized group. The Henan Mathematical Society was praised as the Excellent Organizer.


It is reported that the Chinese Mathematics Competitions (CMC), sponsored by the Chinese Mathematical Society, started in October 2009 and is held once a year. It has become one of the largest and most influential discipline competitions in China. Consisting of preliminary and final rounds, the Competition attracted a total of 231,769 students from 1,024 colleges and universities in China to join in.
