From April 22 to 23, the Central Plains Modern Agriculture Forum - Rapeseed Special Report Meeting was held in Kaifeng, Henan. The meeting was attended by more than 30 experts from the Institute of Oil Crops Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the University of Manitoba in Canada. The meeting also invited Yuchen Miao, vice president of Henan University (HENU), responsible personnel from the National Key Laboratory of Cotton Bio-breeding and Integrated Utilization, persons in charge of the School of Agricultural Sciences, as well as representatives of teachers and students to attend. The meeting was chaired by Daojie Wang, executive dean of the School of Agricultural Sciences.
On behalf of HENU, Yuchen Miao introduced the development of the School of Agricultural Sciences and the advantages of agronomy. He sincerely invited all experts to provide more valuable advice for the development of the first-class discipline in HENU.
At the meeting, the experts made 24 special academic reports on the research of rapeseed high-yield stress resistance, epigenetic research, plant disease defense, efficient utilization of water and nutrients, germplasm resource innovation, and molecular breeding of early maturing varieties.
