On February 7^th, 2022, in the list of academic institutions released by Nature Index, 28 universities in China enter the top 100 worldwide, and Henan University ranks 51 among the top 200 universities in China.

The Nature Index is a database of author affiliation information collated from research articles published in an independently selected group of 82 high-quality science journals. The Nature Index provides a close to real-time proxy of high-quality research output and collaboration at the institutional, national and regional level. During the statistical period, a total of 139 papers from Henan University were selected into the index.
