On the morning of January 24^th, the award ceremony of the 2021 Academic and Cultural Festival of Graduate Students held by the State Key Laboratory of Crop Stress Adaptation and Improvement / the State Key Laboratory of Cotton Biology of Henan University was held in Jinming Campus.

Professor Guoyong AN, executive deputy director of the laboratory, briefed the activities of the festival and announced the winners.

Then, the Special Award, Excellent Paper Award and the first prize were respectively granted by President Chun-peng SONG, vice president Xuelu WANG, and vice president Lixin ZHANG. The second and third prize winners were awarded by Jianwei WU, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Life Sciences, Wang Lei, secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Agriculture, and Daojie WANG, executive dean of the College of Agriculture. On behalf of all award-winning graduate students, the Special Prize winners Zuliang LI and Xin QIAO shared their heartfelt gratitude.  

In the ceremony-concluding speech, Chun-peng SONG said, the effort to overcome learning and working pressure and difficulties induced by the third wave of COVID-19 from all the lab staff shows valuable spirits of selfless dedication which would benefit the society in whole. He then wishes all members a happy Chinese New Year and a healthy and successful future.

The Academic and Cultural Festival of Graduate Students lasting for more than 20 days mainly evaluated excellent academic papers, posters, experimental records and creative R&D works. With the great number of 500 teachers and students joining in the event, the enthusiasm and creativity of graduate students in scientific research were inspired.
