On the afternoon of January 10, “Explore the Beauty of Chinese Characters”, an online program was launched by Henan Universty. Liang Jianzhong, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the International School of Chinese Studies, Ma Huiling and Zhang Bo, both Vice President of the school, and Guo Run, leader of the teaching team of the program, were present at the ceremony. More than 240 participants from Russia, Spain, Greece, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam gathered online via Zoom Meeting.

Liang Jianzhong said that the Chinese characters had a far-reaching influence on extensive and profound Chinese culture and embodied the common cultural gene of the Chinese nation. He believed that the students would benefit greatly from their initial understanding of the Chinese character culture.

According to Ma Huiling, the two-week program includes spoken Chinese live-broadcast class, Chinese character culture live-broadcast class, and video lectures on oracle bone inscriptions and words and expressions. Students will further understand the charm of Chinese character culture through language learning.

After the ceremony, the students enter the live online classroom to learn Chinese characters and experience the mystery of Chinese characters.
