On March 29, the signing ceremony of Zhengzhou Institute of Respiratory Health, which was joinly established by Henan University, Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Health(GIRH) and Henan Ruisi Health Industry Co., Ltd, was held in Guangzhou City.

Representatives attending the signing ceremony were Academician Nanshan Zhong, the leading expert at GIRH, Jianxing He, the Director of GIRH, Shiyue Li, the Deputy Director of GRIH, Keping Lu, Secretary of the Party Committee of HENU, Chun-Peng Song, President of HENU, Shaokang Xu, Vice President of HENU, Junjian Sun, Vice President of HENU, Ruihua Niu, Director of Zhengdong New District Management Committee, and Tianlong Zhu, Chairman of Henan Ruisi Health Industry Co.. The ceremony was hosted by Qinghui Huang, Deputy Director of GIRH.

Jianxing He hoped that, under the leadership of Academician Zhong, we would jontly implement the project, promote its development in pursuit of constantly development of China’s public health and strengthening protection of public health especially related to respiration.  

Keping Lu said: “GIRH is a leading domestic benchmark in personnel training, scientific research and medical services in the field of respiration and has made significant contribution to the prevention and control of SARS and Covid-19. I sincerely expect all the people involved to join hands to develop Zhengzhou Institute of Respiratory Health into a first-class respiratory disease scientific research and talent training center in China under the guidance of Academician Zhong.”

“By taking this chance of cooperation, we could conduct in-depth research on complecated cases of respiratory diseases.” said Academician Zhong. And he suggested HENU and GIRH to produce some substantive measures for joint training of talents and explore a characteristic health care development path under the principle of integration of disease prevention and treatment.

All the attendees witnessed the moment when Shiyue Li, Chun-Peng Song and Tianlong Zhu jointly signed the cooperative agreement regarding the joint establishment of Zhengzhou Institute of Respiratory Health.

This newly co-founded institute is another important measure for Henan University to promote the open education and to serve national and Henan provincial strategy. The institute also plays a role in the integration of disciplines development, talent training and advanced medical research centers and serves to promote the development of medical discipline in HENU, making more positive contributions to public health. Meanwhile, the institute will be of great help for the further development of health care in Zhengzhou City and for the greater contribution to the protection of public health as well as the advancement of medical discipline of national higher education.
