Job Summary
Applications are invited for tenure track faculty and non-tenure track faculty positions in Prof. Chun-Peng Song’s group inKey Laboratoryof Plant Stress Biology at Henan University. Our research focuses on understanding the underlying mechanism that leads to plant adaptation to abiotic stress using Arabidopsis thaliana model plant and cotton, maize and wheat crop. Our efforts are centered on identifying effective ways to improve crop stress tolerance and productivity. We offer world leading expertise in plant stress biology,stomatal regulation and plant water use efficiency, as well as excellent instrumentation and crop transformation platforms. We value the communication and collaboration with the scholars worldwide. Our research is supported by “World First-Class program” and “111 Program” listed in the state discipline construction.
Duties and responsibilities
You will join a dynamic group of faculty, researchers and students implementing multi-disciplinary approaches to the understanding of fundamental questions in plant stress biology. Focus of the positions posted here will be the study of stomatal and root developmental regulation in Arabidopsis and crops that promotes translation of basic biology research to theinnovative application in agricultural practice.Successful applicants will be to conduct both independent research and collaborate in existing projects but also, an opportunity exists to establish and develop research in the areas of single cell metabolic profiling, single cell sequencing and single molecule analysis.
Essential requirements
You must have a PhD in a discipline that is directly relevant to biology, metabolic and bioinformatics analysis or a closely related discipline, or equivalent research experience. In addition, excellent communication skills are essential. It is also important that you have a record of peer-reviewed publications.
Appointment and Salary:Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
