According to the latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) statistics released by Clarivate on July 11, Geosciences of HENU has achieved a new breakthrough, entering top 1% of global rankings for the first time. This signifies that the academic level of geography has reached a new milestone. According to the data, HENU has published a total of 555 papers in the field of Earth Sciences, including 9 highly cited papers with a total citation count of 6369, and an average citation count per paper of 11.48.
As of now, HENU has 12 disciplines ranked in the top 1% globally on ESI, including Chemistry, Materials Science, Clinical Medicine, Engineering, Plant & Animal Science, Pharmacology, Environment/Ecology, Biology & Biochemistry, Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences (General), Computer Science and Geosciences. Since entering the second round of the “Double First-Class” initiative, the university has seen 6 additional disciplines enter the top 1% of ESI global rankings. Currently, HENU ranks 98th domestically and 906th globally on ESI, improving by 15 places from the last statistics. We have 310 highly cited papers and 11 hot papers.
