From May 22nd to 25th, the 2nd Central China Forum on Education Opening-up, themed “Empowering High-quality Productivity Development through Education Opening-up”, was held in Xinyang City, Henan Province. Vice President Shenglei Fu of Henan University (HENU) led a delegation of university representatives to attend the event.
The forum aimed to explore how education opening-up can drive reform, foster innovation, and promote development, ultimately contributing to the construction of a strong education nation and the advancement of high-quality productivity.
During the opening ceremony, the inauguration ceremony for the Henan International Chinese Language Education Alliance took place. Vice President Shenglei Fu, on behalf of HENU, received the alliance plaque from Huaxing Wang, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Education Department of Henan Province. This signified HENU’s role as the leading institution of the alliance in Henan Province.
In his keynote speech, Shenglei Fu provided a comprehensive overview of international cooperation and the development of international Chinese language education across various universities in Henan Province. He emphasized that international Chinese language education in Henan is entering a new era of rapid, high-quality development, and the establishment of the alliance presents a significant opportunity to propel this progress to even greater heights. Shenglei Fu affirmed HENU’s commitment to leveraging its disciplinary strengths, actively coordinating organizational efforts, collaborating with the Department of Education and the Henan Education Association for International Exchange, and supporting all alliance activities throughout its tenure as the leading institution, thereby effectively fulfilling its responsibilities within the Henan International Chinese Language Education Alliance.
