On July 30, Henan University signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the National Center of Technology Innovation for Biopharmaceuticals. The signing ceremony was held in Biopay. It invited Junjian Sun, vice president of Henan University, Xia Li, vice dean of the School of Basic Medical Sciences and director of the Henan University Joint National Laboratory for Antibody Drug Engineering, Guang Han, dean of the School of Pharmacy, and Xie Wang, deputy director of the National Center of Technology Innovation for Biopharmaceuticals, as well as related personnel. Junjian Sun and Xie Wang signed the contract on behalf of both parties.

At the ceremony, Xie Wang said that the National Center of Technology Innovation for Biopharmaceuticals was the first national technology innovation center for biomedicine approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC. It focused on the development of key areas of biopharmaceuticals, such as therapeutic antibodies, new vaccines, nucleic acid drugs, and cell and gene therapy. At the same time, Henan University has its own advantages in biopharmaceutical research. Therefore, he sincerely wished that two parties could carry out in-depth cooperations to solve key common problems encountered by China's biopharmaceutical industry.

Junjian Sun said that this agreement marked a key step in the cooperation between Henan University and the National Center of Technology Innovation for Biopharmaceuticals. He expected that both parties should work together for solutions to urgent problems and research of key technologies. At the same time, both parties should work to yield new fruits in biological drugs, to better protect people's lives and health.
