The Zhongyuan Science and Technology City（ZSTC）in Zhengzhou City attracts 16 companies to settle in, including Huawei's Regional Headquarters in Henan, Aliyun Zhongyuan R&D Delivery Center, and Baidu Driverless Vehicle Test Base, etc. Through the cooperation with Henan University, Zhengzhou University and 2 scientific installation service providers, the ZSTC introduces high-tech enterprises and high-end R&D talent teams in the field of digital economy, biotechnology, new materials, etc. It also cooperates with the EU Project Innovation Center in international scientific and technological exchanges.

On September 16, 2021, the centralized signing ceremony of ZSTC project was held in the Academic Exchange Center of ZSTC. 30 high-quality and major industry projects and relevant talent teams have signed contracts, including Henan Province National University Science Park, Songshan Laboratory, Henan Academy of Sciences, and Spectrum Innovation Center of Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics of CAS. Among them, the Henan Province National University Science Park project includes Venture Building, Big Data Research Institute, Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things, Cloud Computing Laboratory, The Residential Hall for Excellent International Students, Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation.

Zhen TAN and Shaokang XU, Vice Presidents of Henan University, attended the signing ceremony. On behalf of Henan University, Zhen TAN signed the contract with the Management Committee of Zhengdong New District, which will allow Zhengzhou Campus of Henan University to enjoy the policy support of the ZSTC in terms of talent introduction, scientific research result commercialization, introduced talents’ children school enrollment and housing in accordance with relevant policies. It will also speed up the construction of National University Science Park of Henan Province. The signing ceremony brings the total projects of the ZSTC to 143, high-level talents over 900 and a total investment of over 160 billion yuan.
