On the morning of April 22^nd, the the opening ceremony of 2021 HENU spring sports was held in Zhiyi Stadium in Jinming Campus. The leaders of HENU, the Sports Committee, and the principals of departments and schools of HENU attended the opening ceremony.

Chun-Peng Song, President of HENU, said in his speech that the events would help to further enhance the physical exercise consciousness of students and faculties, and promote the sports culture construction of HENU to continue to flourish.

After the opening ceremony, with the starting gun of Keping Lu, the Party Secretary of CPC of HENU, the sports events officially started.

The 2021 HENU spring sports was last for 3 days. A total of 45 teams, more than 3,000 students and more than 300 faculties participated in 71 competitions and fun sports.

At last, the School of Chinese Language and Literature, the School of Journalism and Communication, the School of Economics and other units won the top 8 of Group A. In addition, 4 units won special contribution awards, 12 units won excellent organization awards and 12 units won sportsmanship awards.

It is worth mentioning that 2 school-level records were broken during the spring sports. Yiming Jia from the School of Environment and Planning broke the school record of men's 3000 meters with a time of 9:41.23, and Wei Li from the School of Physical Education broke the school record of men's shot put in group B at 14.47m .

On the afternoon of April 24^th, the closing ceremony of the 2021 HENU spring sports was held in Zhiyi Stadium in Jinming Campus.

In a short period of 3 days, all athletes make a effort, all schools unite as one, and all students and faculties strive to win. They achieved excellent results and experienced fun of sports. The spirit of unremitting efforts shown in the spring sports will inspire all the students and faculties to work together and make unremitting efforts to create a better tomorrow for HENU.
