"International Academic Salon" of School of Physical Education came to a successful conclusion

 

 

On the evening of November 27, the last report of "International Academic Salon" , which was a-month-long lecture series of the School of Physical Education, had successfully ended. More than 500 teachers and students in the School of Physical Education attended the report.


This academic report was given by Professor Gao Zan who is from the University of Minnesota, the United States. He quickly reviewed the severe global trend of chronic diseases and valued the regulatory role and specific measures of physical activity in the prevention and intervention of chronic diseases. During the lecture, the students showed great interest in the contents of the report and actively raised questions.


"International Academic Salon" was one of postgraduate academic activities held by School of Physical Education, which aims to broaden the academic horizon of teachers and students, promote creative thinking and improve comprehensive academic research ability. "International Academic Salon" invited scholars from the United States, Russia, Malaysia and other countries and regions to discuss hot issues in the sports research area from a multi-cultural background and professional perspective.


"International Academic Salon" consists of 6 academic presentations:


On October 16, Dr. Soh Kim Geok gave a lecture on "Healthy Living: The Role of Physical Education Teachers".


On November 13, Prof. John Nauright gave a lecture on "Origin and Development: Overview of the Global Sports Industry".


On November 19th, Dr. Anthony Dixon gave a lecture on "Understanding the World from the Perspective of "Research".


On November 21, Prof. Ming-kai Chin gave a lecture on "Maintaining Overall Health Through Youth Sports and Physical Activities: Partial Cases to Global Perspectives".


On November 23, Professor Vladimir Petrovich Cuba (Губа Владимир Петрович) gave a lecture on "The relationship between sports choice and direction and the long-term training phase".


On November 27th, Dr. Gao Zan gave a lecture on "Physical Activity and Chronic Disease Prevention: Current Status and Countermeasures".
